FOSTERING AN EVANGELIZING SPIRITUALITY

    Parish Mission on Evangelization themes

        1. Introduction to Catholic Evangelization, looking at the three goals of the US Bishops 1992 National Plan Go and Make Disciples.  The Mission includes preaching at the weekend masses, followed by three evening sessions

        2. "Taste and See the Goodness of the Lord" - Inviting Catholics to a deeper experience of their faith and spirituality.  The "Taste and See" Missions offer a variety of themes decided in consultation with the Pastor, and/or Parish Staff or Mission Planning Committee.

    Retreats and Day of Recollection on Evangelization Themes

        A variety of offerings and presentations for Active Parishioners, the Inactive, Unchurched Seekers, Parish Staffs, Pastoral Councils or Evangelization Committees.

    Weekend Preaching/Supply, with preaching on Catholic Evanagelization 

ADULT FAITH FORMATION WORKSHOPS and TALKS

     Living and Sharing our Faith - Another way to say "Evangelization"   Overview of Church documents on evangelization; the challenges born Catholics face in understanding themselves as personally converted; the challenges parishes face in becoming the missionary communities they are called to be.

    Discovering My Experience of God (2 Sessions)  This workshop/retreat experience will help parishioners put into words their own personal experiences so they can begin to confidently share their stories of faith.

    Evangelizing Active Catholics -- Call to Discipleship  The personal mandate for all the  baptized to live and share their faith.

TRAINING FOR PARISH-BASED EVANGELIZATION:

    Moving From Maintenance to Mission

        A look at Parish Dynamics and how they can encourage or inhibit outreach ministry; a helpful workshop for parish staffs, pastoral councils and other leadership personnel.

    Forming the Parish Evangelization Team

        Inviting participants; training the team; how often should the team meet and practical projects to strengthen outreach ministries.
